So it appears that Morocco doesn't allow bigamy/polygamy either? Is this correct?

Technically it is allowed, only if the 1st wife allows for it. Now the OP being PR or Canadian, would need to allow it which would mean that as a resident of Canada she is committing a criminal offence.

Chances of getting the approval from the court in Morocco for a foreigner are very slim, and the case would likely drag out over a few years.

Makes sense, as allowing / giving permission for the 2nd marriage to occur, OP is also aiding and abetting the husband's offense.

Exactly. And no matter what the circumstances, the husband will never be able to sponsor a second wife unless he married her after he divorced his first wife.

If the OP's husband provides false information in Morocco (for example states he is single or divorced) he will be arrested and prosecuted under Article 366 of the Penal Code. Before the Ministry of Foreign affairs allows for a foreigner to marry, DST (Direction de la Surveillance du Territoire) does a background/security screening. If the foreign national is a man, the process to obtain permission to marry can take up to 3 months. For foreign women, usually the permission can be obtained within 4 weeks.

Has no one considered the possibility that Mosarrat is a troll or possibly a rat called Mo: Mo's a rat! Get it? Strangely silent after her first post ever, after so much learned analysis!

Nah.. She is either a willing participant to an illegal (in Canada) plan or a very worried wife who is about to be "replaced".

Hi Mossarat

You please inform CPC-missisauga in writing with copies of your and your husband's immigration paper, citizenship paper, your Husband SIN number, Passport copy (if available ) of your husband that your husband wants to sponsor a wife from Morroco. Also let you husband know that. He will never dare to do that.

Agree with Shaw.
Your husband cannot sponsor a second wife while he is still married to you.
Since such wives have entered Canada in the past, though, it is obviously possible to trick CIC.
So send in the details to CIC and the Canada Border Services Agency: your husband's name, date of birth, passport number, any other identifying documents you can think of. If he does get the second wife here, report it to CIC and the Canada Border Services Agency, in which case she will definitely be removed.
