Hello Everyone, I am in the process of finalizing the forms , i have few questions.

1. In IMM5768 form it asks a lot of questions about the previous undertaking - I did applied for my mom's super visa , she visited and then left. Should i put 0 against all of those questions ?

2 . In IMM5768 question 3 A , it says put the number of persons included in IMM0008 form. , The problem is that in IMM0008 i have put 2 because as per instruction guide

"Indicate the total number of family members included in your application. This includes yourself and any family members, regardless of whether they intend to accompany you to Canada or not."

But i am only applying for my mom's PR as dad is not interested so in IMM5768 should i write 1 only ? or should i still write 2 ? or now i need to change IMM0008 and put 1 over there ?

3. In IMM5768 , question # 8 , it says Minimum necessary Income , right now its only me and my wife and i am sponosring my mother so i believe it should be for 3 people

4. In fee payment form. it says SPONSOR 1 and $75 fee, but my wife is a co-signer so should it be 2 X 75$ ?

If anyone can help me , i will really appreciate.

Thanks,
Muz

Hi Muzamil
For imm0008 form it's filled out by your mom as the applicant so it should be just 1 person on the application that is herself.

Imm0008 is not filled out by you or in other words it's filled by the applicant (your mom) not the sponsor (you). I would suggest to read the guide again. Cheers

Hello everyone,

I was checking the processing time for parents sponsorship. It was 49 months for assessment of sponsor and then 77 months for Assessment of Person Being Sponsored!!!!! Does this mean it will take 10 years?!?!?!? :-[

Hello all,

I have a question, I am hoping you guys can help me. I am thinking of applying for my parents sponsorship in 2016. I am over the minimum income requirement for 2012, 2013 and 2014 and hence eligible. I asked CRA to send me my notice of assessments in mail and they did a couple weeks ago. I was all prepared with my documents. I received an email couple days ago that my taxes were reassessed for 2013 and 2014. One of the year my income actually increased and the other it was something else that did not have an impact on the income. Either way, I am still eligible to apply but I won't get my reassessments in time to make the cut off. Do you think my original NOA would still work cause the income never went down below that at all. I am not sure what to do ? I can try to see if I can get the print out of reassessments online but I am not sure if those are acceptable? Please let me know what you all think?

Thanks a lot in advance,
Aryan

don't go by those timelines. currently for most people it takes between 5-6years. However I think it will get quicker over the next couple of years as the backlog is cleared.

Your original NOA's will be fine. Problem only occurs if the reassessment was to reduce your income to below the required level, otherwise no problem.

Hello, I think i need to provide info for my dad as well even though he is not accompanying my mother. This is what guide says

"
You must list all family members in your application for permanent residence, whether they are accompanying you to Canada or not. You must also provide details on family members whose location is unknown (including those missing or presumed dead). If you don’t, you will not be able to sponsor family members at a later date if they are not listed on your application.
"

What do you suggest.. ?

Hi Guys

I've a question, what if someone's income falls below LCOI while the application is in process. For instance : If a person files the parent's sponsorship application in 2016 and his income for 2013, 2014 and 2015 is good enough but in 2017, he was laid off or for what ever reason his income has gone down? How will this impact the application processing?

Thanks

CIC will reject the PGP PR application once they notice that you did not meet the lico annual requirements. CIC will request all the required noa / option C printouts before finalizing your parents PR. They will cancel and close the application if they see you failed the requirements.

Hi
For the Fee payment, the sponsor is "1" written on the form, do we have to change it to "2" if we have a co-signer? i.e. $75*2=$150?

Also for the 3 consecutive taxation years the family size will be:

Sponsor + co-signer = 2

OR Sponsor + Cosigner + Mom + Dad + 1 dependent = 5

Please suggest. Thanks.

Do you know if they accept print outs from online account?
