I am not sure this informaiton will help some of you relax a bit or not.
I just called CIC call centre to check my package.
I send my package on Jan 02nd by canada post , and estimately the package reached at CIC around 1pm or after.
This CIC agent told me that she found my package but in their system there is no information put in of my package . she said it doesn't mean anything at this point, maybe they just haven't have time to key the information in yet. and just give them some time.
So I am thinking the applications who have the same or samiliar time with me , they haven't start our applications yet, just give them some time. don't be too worried.

oh yes. I remember CIC told me that all applications would be under triage process (maybe like triage in the hospital, i guess. Each application will be directed to different group/people due to their uniqueness, such as UCI provided or not). That is why we did not see CC charged in term of received time, but for sure, we will not see applications on 6th makes the cap, but complete applications on 5th cannot.

I think my available credit has just decreased by $550 around 5 pm today. Never been happier for losing $$$. It's a TD Visa and it will take some time to post the actual transaction. I said "I think" because I used this CC for my day-to-day expenses and my online record is always lagging.

Anyway, I'm sharing this info with you guys first even before my family knows about it. Wish everyone in this forum get their CC charged ASAP.

I actually logged in today just to see whether you and all the other Jan 5th applicants made it. SOOOOOOOO happy you got charged. Fingers crossed for everyone else.
We definitely need some beers people!

I'm truly overwhelmed with so many thank you notes.

But there are still many who are anxiously waiting to see their CC charged. I strongly hope all JAN 5 applicants get in to 5000 cap like JAN 2 ones. Then, we can make sweet chaos for Stage-2.

Thanks Rossei for your time and congrats on "you were charged 550$". I just 1 minute after yours by Fedex but CC not charged yet. Lets hope CIC change their method and every application before cut-off dates, make the CAP.

I just saw my status on CC Pending charges $1100. What does that mean?

I did call my bank and they said it's all good not to worry and I did mention it to them that don't hold it, let it go through.

They are charging Fedex 11am Jan 5 batch. My heart is beating faster than even. Fingers crossed. Congrats

I'm doing the same thing. I am using my BMO CC but I regret, the on-line updates are pretty slow. I should've used my royal bank

I understand, i have an email warning for any charges about 500$, but i still keep checking the online account. so stressful, out of control.....

1250 from RBC
My application send on jan 2 and reached cic @ jan 5 11:01 via FEDEX
