My application reached Jan 5, 2015 at 11:23 AM.

For non-GTA folks complaining that GTA applications are at an advantage ..... let me tell you I couriered my mom's application on 31st Dec from Toronto, using the express delivery option UPS offers. The tracking said delivery scheduled for 2nd Jan.

And guess what, my delivery got rescheduled to 5th Jan. I called up UPS and all they said was "we apologize for the inconvenience". It was quite unnecessary to argue with them cuz i know they really couldn't do anything about it. Anyhow, thankfully my application then got delivered on 5th Jan (8:15AM) signed by SHEELA.

I know from this thread, there are folks who mailed their applications from outside GTA on 31st and managed to get their packages delivered by 2nd. So i guess its a hit and miss.

Nevertheless, all the best to everyone, and may the most desperate and needy applications make it in the cap.

Finally got notification that my application was delivered January 6 at 12:40 PM...

Congrats! I just checked but it's still showing "out for delivery" since Jan 5. What is your tracking history looking like? Do you see "delivered" as last step? Does it have signature? Thanks.

Yes delivered January 6, no signature, it was out for delivery since jan 6 ... I think it was delivered on jan 5 in your case ! Good luck ...

Thanks. Is yours showing "delivered" or "out for delivery"? Mine is "out for delivery" forever. But even it's delivered, there's no signature which means it's not accepted yet. Too bad.

Same issue here. Mine is ''out for delivery'' forever but Canadapost assured that it's delivered in the mail room. I think even there's no signature but it doesn`t mean it's not accepted because there is also option to deliver by ''drop off''. CIC will collect all applications that arrived that day.

Yes it's showing delivered, I got the delivery notification today at 5 pm.

Mine is also Out for Delivery till now but I called them and they said, they are already delivered last January 5. The Canada post site is not updated.

Given the amount of work, I'd expect it takes them 2-3 weeks to sort out who's eligible who's not? Great news that they started processing some applications but I'd be shocked if they've done the screening already.
