Why don't you just courier it on Jan 2 with same-day delivery? https://www.purolator.com/en/ship-track/shipping-services/delivery-services/same-day-services/canada-us-services.page
Rob_To: I looked into that option as well, but then Purolator offers next business day at 9am or 10am guaranteed delivery, so if I courier app on Dec 31st with a 10am delivery, my application will be at CIC by 10am on Jan 2 making it one of the first few applications to be received by CIC. I'm not sure if CIC will timestamp with time as well, but just making all the Ts are crossed :). Just being overly cautious I guess, I doubt if the cap will fill up on Jan 2

If you do that, hopefully CIC doesn't release any updated forms on Jan 2, or see that you mailed the app Dec 31 from courier's time stamp and simply reject it based on that reason.

If it was me I would do same day (they seem to offer delivery within 1 hour) delivery on Jan 2, just to be sure. The cap will definitely not fill up within a few hours.

Hi there! I am trying to sponsor my parents for 2015. I meet the income requirements for 2011,2012 but not for 2013 as we had our 2nd child in 2011 and my wife was on maternity leave for the most part of 2012,Hence we had lower income for 2012 to be reported in 2013.I am well over the requirement if we consider 2014.
Now Does that mean I am not eligible to apply until year 2018 because year 2013 will keep hurting me for the next 3 years even though I am expecting to be well above the requirement for 2015 and 2016.I fail to understand this requirement. Can anybody help me answer this concern? Thanks in advance!

Yes unfortunately missing 1 year of LICO in any 3 preceding years disqualifies you from sponsoring (unless perhaps you are applying from Quebec).

You need to go by the tax year, not the year you did your taxes in. i.e.if income was short for 2012 tax year (Jan - Dec 2012), even though you actually did taxes in 2013 that would count as 2012 income.

So if you qualify for LICO in 2013, 2014 and 2015 tax years, you can try to apply in January 2017 (assuming rules stay the same as today).

Hi,
My question is regarding FORM5768-Financial Evaluation -
Do I have to mention my parents name in any of the question's response in this FORM-5768 at all?

My family is me, my wife and daughter(4 Yr old). I am sponsoring my Father and Mother from India. My Spouse will be the co-sponsor.
This is the first time I am sponsoring anyone, so there are no previous undertakings.

Please advise.
Regards,
Simar

Thanks Xenon.

One more thing please on the same form -

Since my wife is the co-signer, I cannot put her name in there in the answer to Question 12. Right?
So in Question 13 - Do I put both my daughter and wife's name or only daughter's name in this question?

Please let me know.

Hello everyone.

Quick question:

In financial evaluation form Question 15 - What have you put in as Gross Income/Benefit for the period?

Does the amount reflect the earning only from the employer i.e T4 earnings from Option C or the amount on Line 150 of Option C printout ?

As its asking only about employment, I was thinking that only earning from T4 should be written down not the one on Line 150. But my understanding can be wrong.

I did appreciate if someone who knows or has already clarified this question can clear the confusion. Thanks a lot for your time.

Bob

Hi, I had a question regarding Current Country of residence question in form IMM0008. My parents are from India but are currently visiting Canada for two months (on visitor visa). Should I answer India or Canada as their current country of residence?

Thanks

India is still their country of residence and citizenship, not Canada. They are only visiting Canada, a super visa is not a permanent visa.

Certified translated copy is enough
