Hello guys, small dilemma here..

I did a quebec family sponsorship for my mom only. My dad doesn't want to come as well..

however they're asking for his medicals.. would that be a problem since he wouldn't do them??

Please help needed as i only have a few days to comply now.

Yes - it's a problem if he does not do the medicals. It is mandatory that your father complete and pass the medical in order for your mother's PR visa to be approved. If your father either refuses to do the medical or fails the medical, your mother's PR visa will be refused.

The only way to get your mother sponsored without your father's cooperation is probably for them to separate or divorce.
The responsibility for proving that this is genuine lies with the applicant. Otherwise, as per @scylla, it's not going to be approved.

ah thanks for this. They are still legally married but "seperated". how do i prove this? I did mention that i believe on the application however..

I haven't mentioned that to him but i highly doubt he will go for the medicals.

any other option? so if he doesn't go it automatically dismisses her qualification?

You would need to prove they are legally separated or have filed for divorce.

Otherwise he needs to go through the medical and provide PCCs or your mother's application will be refused.

How long have they been separated? I assume they are no longer living together?

Do you know a similar case? how did they sort it out?

It has been over 5 years now. They have not "filed" for Divorce however.. how can i prove they are legally seperated?
