I am a Canadian citizen with a good job in Vancouver. I want to sponsor my nephew who is in the Philippines. He is twelve years old and is under the care of my parents. My parents are 80 and 78 years old. He is my younger brother's eldest son who is separated from his wife. He and ex-wife work in the Middle east. He has always been in the care of my parents since day one. Here are my questions:
1. Am I allowed to sponsor my nephew?
2. What are the requirements?
3. Do I need to have a legal guardianship before I can sponsor him?
4. I am in Canada, am I allowed legal guardianship in the Philippines?
5. Are there any similar case like mine that I can follow. If you know any case, please let me know what happened
