I recently just got married in July 2018, and i'm in the processing of completing my application for sponsorship for my wife from Thailand.
I'm wondering if i'm going to have an difficulties from the process based on my situation.
We met online through IG and begin to talk through FB to get to know each other, I was on a trip with my family to see my mom side of the family for a visit. We met up and started to date and i extended my stay for a month there to get to know her better and spend everyday with her. Went back to Canada and chatted everyday. I went back in April for another month and went on some trips to other parts of Asia. Went back again in July and proposed to her and decided i wanted to Marry her. Went and did the process and went through city district to register our marriage with my cousin and hers. After that had a celebration dinner with her family members and my mom side of the family, plan to have a more formal ceremony next year. I wanted to start the process of the PR for my wife and have it ready for next year.
I filled in the application, including over 20 pics with descriptions and dates of us (trips, celebration dinner, wedding registry, outing, etc), a detailed log of our conversations through messenger at different time periods, social media page print out, close friend/family letters stating our relationship together, print out of all the trips and activities, receipt of the engagement and wedding band, translated documentation of the marriage certificate including documents of name changes in National ID and Passport, put her on my death beneficiary in my work benefits, letter explaining our relationship.
I didn't have a traditional Thai wedding, i wrote a letter to explain that i didn't have the funding yet to have something formal and also wanted my parents to be there as well as my brother.
Would this be a red flag since i didn't have a formal traditional Thai wedding? and i went already there on 3 trips (1 month, 1 month, 2.5 weeks) and will plan something next year and i'm worried about my application now, wondering if what i put in my details is suffice.
Any advice would be appreciated.
