HEY,SPONSORING MY SPOUSE FROM PAKISTAN WHILE LIVING IN PAKISTAN.IS IT POSSIBLE.?? I HAVNT WORKED IN CANADA SO NO FINANCIAL PROVE.. I AM ON PRC, BUT ONLY LIVED IN CANADA FOR TWO MONTHS THEN CAME TO PAKISTAN TO COMPLETE MY STUDIES...

IF IT IS POSSIBLE THEN HOW?? IF NOT THEN WHAT CAN I DO.. CAN I GO TO CANADA FOR TWO MONTHS FILE HER CASE AND COME BACK. ?? PLEASE HELP SOON.

No - you can't.

Since you are a PR (rather than a citizen), you must be living in Canada when you submit the sponsorship application and you must continue living in Canada while the sponsorship application is processed. Occasional short (2-3 week) trips outside of Canada are fine. Anything longer and you risk having the application refused.

You must return to Canada, file the application - and then remain in Canada until her application is 100% approved.

If you are PR of Canada then you have to be in Canada to sponsor your spouse. If you are Canadian Citizen then you can sponsor her from pakistan and you can live with her too till your processing is complete.

I agree with the previous responses and would like to add that this wouldn’t be honest either. If you are not planning to live in Canada then why should you or your spouse have PR or citizenship?? If your response is going to be that “I plan to move to Canada after I finish school” then I say to be fair and honest apply at that time. No offense but this is one of the reasons’ why the applications are taking so much time.

I mean no disrespect, but as you may know the process is quite lengthy already.

a year left for my graduation thats y i came back... to sponsor my wife.. it will take around 2 years. i want to get started with the process so .. we dont have to wait for long.. but unfortunately.. we cant help it.. a year for my studies then 2 years wait for my wife. :(
