Sponsoring my mom who already has a valid super visa. is it possible.

My mother has a 10 year valid super visa, is it possible to apply for her PR now has family sponsorship has opened and CIC is accepting applications. Will having a valid supervisa be a cause of concern and will iut have any impact on the PR application of my mom ?

You can certainly sponsor your mother provided you meet the income requirements to be a sponsor for the last three years and this income is from Canadian sources - sponsoring her will have no impact on her super visa. However CIC is only accepting 5,000 applications this year and we know they have been flooded with sponsorship applications just in the first few days of the program opening. You should submit your application as soon as possible (e.g. today or tomorrow) if you want a chance of making the cap this year.
