I am currently a Canadian citizen and I'm going back to university in January. I visited manila back in April to meet with my now current girlfriend that I've met when I was still living in the Philippines. My question is, if we are married in Canada when she comes to visit in February (hopefully her visa gets approved) can I sponsor her even though I am only a student? I've been reviewing some of the topics in this forum but there are a couple of them that has some connection to what my situation is but there has been recent changes in immigration and I was just wondering if any one can offer some advice or anything?
