I have my father visiting me in Canada from India. He does not have any other relative alive to care for him other than me. He is 80 yrs old and is suffering from dementia which I only noticed after he came to visit me! Can I get PR for him so that I can take care of him in Canada? What should I do? I hope someone can guide me in this matter.

not sure about the actual details but talk to a lawyer under humanatarian thing may be he can help. They could always tell you to get super visa, but have a lawyer give you professional advice.

If standard sponser procedure is difficult to qualify due to income then i will suggest get first super visa. Later use laywer service to apply under h and c catagory for pr. I assume he is widower and u have no sibling in india

Yes, my father is a widower and my only brother passed away 5 years ago. My father was raised in an orphanage so there is no one to care for him. Aren't lawyers expensive? How much would they charge? Any idea?
