Sponsoring my Chinese husband

We both already live in Canada, and were gathering everything we need, but we need some claifications:

Had some confusion over what fees we pay. I've seen two different fee charts.

One that says:
Application Fee $75
Principal Applicate $490

And another with both those plus this:
Spouse, Common Law, Conjural etc, $550

Do we pay all three or just the first two?

We have all are other documents, just need to pay for it mostly.

Also is better to just apply inland and wait (his visa is still good for 3 years anyways) or would it be better to apply outbound? Do we BOTH need to stay in the country well we wait for it to process? (e.g. vacations)

Also is the police check required, because the RCMP said they wouldn't do it without an active immigration case.

With no dependents the total should be $1040, exclude the $75.

Outland is generally way faster, and you are permitted to apply outland even from inside Canada. For inland applications the applicant must reside in Canada, vacations are fine if re-entry is not an issue. If you are Canadian PR (not a citizen) then as a sponsor you must reside in Canada.

Police check is for all countries "other" than Canada, they do their own (inland might be different).

It is very doable on your own. Simply read the Guide and answer/fill in the forms accordingly.

Sponsorship application $75
Principal applicant fee $475
Right of Permanent Residence Fee $490

Total $1040
