Hi,

I am living in Quebec. I applied for my parents sponsorship in 2008. Recently, I received the OK from federal and now preparing CSQ.

When I applied I satisfied the financial capacity requirements between 2007-2010. However in 2011-2012, I didn't for various reasons. I stoped working to launch a company and then returned to school for one term. However, by Dec 2012, I started working again and I have a contract that states that my salary is higher than whatever is required.

Another data: My wife and myself together, we are able to meet the requirements in 2012. But alone, I am not.

Now what is the problem? My wife doesn"t want to cosign my sponsorship as she is scared from the 10 years liability. What can I do to save this sponsorship?

1. Should I apply alone and explain that in 2011-2012 I didn't satisfy the requirements but since dec 2012 I am working and have a contract that will allow me to meet the requirements in the future?

2. Should I attach my wife's notice of assessment of 2012 and say that we prefer that she doesn't cosign as alone I will be able to support the requirements in the future?

3. Is there a way that she co-signs with me now and after a year (once I have my notice of assessment of 2013) I ask the governement of quebec to change the engagement so that I am the only liable person?

4. Can I make a contract between me and my wife, that if any member of my family takes any social assistance money from gov, I will reimburse her at 100% of whatever the government asks her to pay?

Thank you for any help! I am lost!
