Hello! My partner is a Quebec citizen and he would like to sponsor me (an international student from France).
However, he is a student himself (he recently returned to studies under the PRATIC program, which means he is paid by the government) and before that, he was receiving employment insurance for 8 months after losing his job.
My question is, will the Quebec government refuse his application to sponsor me since he doesn't technically have an income that meets the requirements they announce? (around 42,000CAD)
