Sponsoring Child while working overseas

If he, his wife and child lives in Canada but he works in another country(Fly in Fly out) then will he be able to sponsor his child(less than year old) for a PR? Seeing as how he doesn't have Canadian employment?

2.he should be able to sponsor but is he going to say hes working out of country.

3.previously sponsor is not allowed to move out of canada during entire process except for a 2 to 3 weeks vacations. not sure how it is now.

You haven't given enough information. Is the husband a PR or citizen? What is the wife's status in Canada? What is the child's current status?

He and his wife got PR about a year ago and were in Canada to activate their visa. They are yet to move to Canada permanently. In the meanwhile they had a baby. She is not a PR as she didn't exists at the time of their PR approval.

They are planning to move to Canada permanently and his current work agreed to him flying in and out until he finds a decent Job in Canada. He is wondering how he can apply for a PR for their child. Cheers.

He can write a cover letter explaining he came back recently and would be able to find job soon. If he want he can show bank statement of his savings.
But he can only apply while he is in canada.for kids money is not important.one shouldnot go on welfare

More information is still needed. Are they actually in Canada or not? If not and if they are not visa-exempt, does the child already have a TRV?

A PR sponsor must be residing in Canada throughout the entire sponsorship process. With that job, he would not qualify. However, the wife could sponsor the child if she is residing in Canada.
