Sponsored Spouse deserted after child birth

Hi,
If Sponsored Spouse(husband) deserts the wife after child birth in Canada. How wife could apply for extension of (spouse) visa and also apply for custody of the child. Wife's spouse visa expiring within 2 months.

So your husband sponsored you and now he left? What do you mean spouse visa? Did you apply inland or outland? Did you receive a pr card?
