Sponsor Presence in Canada

Hello Everyone,

I got my PR Card in February 2016 but I stayed for a month and come back to Dubai , got married and again came back to Calgary in February 2017 during that period I applied to sponsor my wife as I was living Inside Canada but I came to Dubai and then flew to Karachi to celebrate Ramadan, Eid and also my younger Brother Marriage in August 2017 ,left Canada after staying 3 months back to Dubai.

My wife got her medical examination In dubai In September 2017 and I got a letter from CIC that File has moved to London in OCTOBER 2017.

I was unable to fly back to canada as my parents went back to Pakistan in an emergency due to my Grandmother illness and I cant leave my wife alone in Dubai .

In December 2017 My wife got pregnant and I inform CIC about it but now today I got a letter from CIC
In December last week my father again went back in Emergency to Pakistan ,as my Grandmother got admitted to ICU & till now he is still in Karachi to look after her health.

Therefore, I was unable to fly back to Canada because I can’t leave my Pregnant wife alone in Dubai.

I got a Letter from CIC as stated below :

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order for us to
continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:

 > SPR's residency: Evidence that your sponsor resides in Canada. This
includes but is not limited to: pay stubs, T4 slips, utility bills, and banking history.
Driver’s licences, Property tax assessments, Social Insurance or Health Insurance cards
are not sufficient This must be received at this office by: 2018/03/13
 > Communication, proof: Proof of communication (photos, letters, E-mails,
phone bills), between you and your sponsor Recent evidence of communication (and
any visits since the application was submitted) between you and your sponsor.


I need opinion to tackle this letter / Situation.

As a PR in order to sponsor you must be residing inside of Canada, which you're not and I imagine you will face difficulties if not rejection due to this.

You need to immediately move back to Canada, and remain there until the application is completed. Even this may not be good enough as you have already established you weren't residing in Canada for a long time during the processing. None of your personal situation is reason to exempt you from one of the most basic rules of PRs sponsoring their family.

If you can't do this, expect your app to be rejected. You can re-apply from scratch with a new app once you move back to Canada.
