Sponsor parents for PR while outside Canada

Hi my friends
I have couple questions regarding sponsoring my dad for PR application.

1-I'm a Canadian citizen and I now live in USA, and my salary is around $75,000CAD. I was wondering if I Can sponsor my dad although I'm not in Canada ? and is the salary enough?

2-If I apply for parents sponsorship PR program, can my dad still get the tourist visa to come to Canada? because normally they don't give tourists visa to people who is applying for PR.

3- If you have any experience regarding the processing time from applying until getting the PR, I appreciate if you could share it with me.

1) No - you cannot. You must be living in Canada to sponsor your parents. Additionally, your income must be from Canadian sources and you need to provide three year's of Canadian tax return statements to qualify.

So best case scenario, you are around 4 years away from being able to sponsor our father for PR.
