Hello,

I am the sponsor (PR) for my wife's application and it was received Oct 28th; we are hoping to get the SA this coming week. I am planning to go meet my wife for two weeks in the month of Feb (the application should have been sent to the visa office by then).

I understand a PR cannot be outside the country to sponsor an application; I was wondering if a short holiday of two weeks will jeopardize the application and if anyone else been in this situation.

@Rob_TO: I know I have asked this earlier, other applicants in the Oct thread are asking for sources :)

Thank you

2 week vacation is fine. It's when it get over the 3 week mark that it starts to get more iffy. You will be perfectly fine with 2 weeks.

Yes my spouse has become a shuttlecock in CA and home country due to this pathetic long sponsor time processing. He travels at least 5 times in a year. My case is almost final now. So yes you can visit your spouse for few weeks.
