Sponsor doesn't know the exact day he started working for current employer

And apparently neither does the employer, or she's too lazy to look it up. And we don't have his option C printout or all of his pay stubs from the previous year. We're missing about three months worth of pay stubs, but we do have a copy of his recent tax return. Do you think this will be enough?

Hmmmm here's a creative option to find out when he started working for his employer: what about looking at his work email inbox? Try to find out his earliest email(s) from/to his employer, and you can estimate when he started working for them. Also, if the employer sent him his interview request and/or job offer through email, you can also estimate (or even find out precisely) when he began working for them......

For me personally, I remember, on top of my head, the exact date on which I started working for my current employer (despite it's being 5 years ago), but also I have the email proof, to back up my claim.....

Really? He can't get through? Hmm.
When I called for mine, I got through right away. The phone call was only about 5 minutes. That was back in december though. Maybe because of summer holidays they are busier...

Ya try looking through emails.
I think if its not enough they will just send you a letter requesting more documents.
But it should be okay with the tax returns and pay stubs.

Not uncommon...took me about eight tries over the span of two weeks before someone actually picked up on the 1-800 number. I'm assuming you're just getting a busy signal...that was the same situation I was dealing with.

Well he's a Canadian citizen who was born here, and he works for his uncle who owns his own business. I guess his aunt (who owns the other half of the business) finally found out when he started working for them, thank goodness. Now I can send off this application today. And yeah I called for him and after about fifteen tries, I got through. But the man on the phone wouldn't let me get it for him since we didn't file as common law because at the time we did our taxes, we weren't common law yet. So he had to call, and that's hard to do when you work from 6am to 9pm most days, barely get a break, and are working for 90% of the days out of the month. Plus it was tax season and they were super busy and wouldn't pick up for anything.
