We applied outland. We live together in Calgary.

When we sign in to ECAS with my spouse's details the address reads

123 - 456 7 Ave SW

(123 is apartment, 456 is building number on 7th ave)

However when we sign in to ECAS with applicant details the address is

123 456
7 Ave SW

Obviously not much difference but I would hate for the COPR to get lost.

Q: Does the COPR get addressed to the sponsor or the applicant?

for all you know, that's just how the numbers populate in ECAS, it doesn't mean that's how it's actually going to printed out on an envelope when they mail the document. Perhaps they need to shorten it because the system doesn't allow so many characters. Perhaps they can't input a dash. I honestly don't think you need to worry.

the COPR is mailed to the applicant.

As always, thanks rhcohen2014

i see same problem with my address. can anyone confirm it is just the system bug, or should I inform CIC about mistake? please, advise me

My address is shown with a dash, having said that I doubt it's a problem. Call CIC if it really bothers you.

Hi Ashia,

I had 3 different addresses on ECAS. Home, mailing, and sponsored's addresses. I emailed the VO for an address change several times and also submitted an address change request IN ECAS.

I called CIC yesterday to try and figure out WHICH address they were mailing my CoPR to - they actually had my current address, even though it hadn't been updated on ECAS.

So I wouldn't stress too much about the way it's populated in ECAS. In my case they had the correct address but the old ones showed online. You can call CIC to confirm:) Mine was also formatted weird (Drive was part of the city, etc..)

Omg mine is formatted the exact same way as yours andrew brit!
The sponsor one has the apartment # then dash but mine (principal applicant) has apartment # then street number.
How would they know it's the apartment # when there's no distinction?

Yeah I tried changing mine a couple months back when I noticed it but it has yet to change.
