sponsering my orphan nephew

this is my first post can anyone tell me what i can do to get my 16 year old orphan nephew to attend school in montreal without paying tuition fees. i am his legal guardian appointed by the court of stthomas usvi i send the application to sponsor on dec19-2012 at the moment i have a document for him to attend school from immigration canada but the school board wants me to pay foreign student fees i am a canadian citizen for over 29 years need desperate help

To the best of my knowledge, until your nephew officially becomes a PR, it's up to each individual school to decide if he has to pay foreign student fees or not to attend. I would try contacting a different school in your area to see if they would be willing to accept your nephew without a fee.

Agree with scylla. Try other schools. Some forum members have reported that one school principal would demand foreign tuition fees, and at another school they were able to enroll their children without paying.
