Sponsering a dependant child

Hello everyone,

I sponsered my spouse last year. He has arrived and everything is great! I included his daughters at the time in the application. They did not accompany him when he came to Canada from Egypt. We would now like the girls to come and visit. My question is.....what way do I apply?! Do we apply for a visitors visa? really not sure what to do. They did their medicals and everything when I applied to sponser the three of them..........now what?

If they are only coming to visit, then you only need to apply for a visit visa. If they think they are coming to stay for a longer period, you can sponsor them for PR but this will take a few months.

If you do apply for their PR, they will lose it again if they do not stay in Canada for at least 2 years in their first 5 years as PR's. However, if they are under 18, your husband would be able to apply for their citizenship as he applies for his own if they are already PR. It is something to think about.
