hii my name is shruti.....i got married in india on october 9th 2010, and than i stayed in india for almost 11 months, i m a pr. i will be goin to canada soon so i was just wondering that how much time it take in total to get a permanent resident card from india once i apply. i have all the document ready i just need to go and send it to them. i really cant live without my hubby so let me know what is the fatest way to apply and how long do they take let me know

It should take anywhere between 3-6 months if all goes well. Sorry to say this but there are no short-cuts. Send in your application and hope for the best. Hope you have a speedy process! :)

P.S. All of us really cant live without our husbands/wives...

yeah but how do i know that my paper are perfect....i dun have a job so does that really matter in a spouse visa

It doesn't really matter as long as the visa officer believes that the two of you can support yourselves when you live in Canada. So it is best to show some kind of evidence that you will be able to support yourselves: get any job as soon as you can; show that you and your husband were employed in your home country and that these skills are transferable to the Canadian job market (English language ability, for example); show proof of your education and training; show evidence of any property owned and any savings either of you have; get a letter from family in Canada stating they will let you and your husband live with them until you both get jobs; etc.

my parents are living in canada and my mom and dad both are employed like if i get a job at wallmart as a casheir that would help? do i need to print out the forms in blank and white ink or i have to print it out in colour?

Having any job is better than none. The forms can be black and white - or colored. If your parents are going to be helping you and your husband when he arrives, get them to write a letter or affidavit explaining how they will help and add it to the application.

okay i c that wouldnt be a prb they will just write me a letter.....another thing i wanna ask that i got married in a temple like i wasnt dressed uip in indian style but i have the picture so that really doesnt matter right?

Were there other people at the temple? Hope you have pictures of that. Did you have a reception later on? Maybe you can put up pictures of that. The New Delhi VO's usually expect to see an elaborate Indian wedding.

If you didn't have a traditional Indian wedding, you will need to show a lot of other proof that the marriage is genuine. You've been living with your husband since you got married, right? If so, show a lot of evidence of this cohabitation.

ohh well yes i have the picture and yeah i stayed with him for almost 11 months so i have the air ticket returing back to canada.....and ofcourse i have my name on his passport as well as marriage certificate.....no we didnt we planned it to do it later on......i really dun have picture of any ritual and such but i have email and chat before our marriage that we use to talk.....when we were dating each other................

Was your marriage known to your parents?

Yeah yeah my parents and his parents were there at the wedding and some of my relatives were thr.....it was like a unplanned marriage but i have a pic with everyone in it and plus me and him in the center......and to prove my relation is genuine i have the air ticket back to canada after 11 months of my marriage and also i have email when we were dating each other..... i hopeee this shouldnt create any problem for me.......

Well that looks alright. All the best with your application.

thanks.....well can i give them a mailing address different compare to the permanent address.....i mean like the address that he has on his passport is kanpur address (where his parents are living) and he is working in noida so can he put up address of noida in his application?
do i need two police clearance certificate for different cities

Yes you can give the two addresses like that. I dont think you will need two police reports as PCCs are only for countries and not cities.
