hi
i am a permanent residance in canada. i have my own house. i need to sponser my grandchild from india.he is orpham, becouse his father is dead and his mother remarried with another man. me have a grandship from court, she agreement wid me i dont need child, i give her Rs250000 in panchayat. nw i want to sponser him in canada. my age is 63 and my wife age is 55. we fill full tax of return in canada. plz tell me wt i do now?

1. He is not an orphan as his mother is alive. So it will be extremely difficult, if not impossible to sponsor him. With your ages, doubt very much if an adoption would be approved either.

Even if you can not sponsor him, you can apply for his visit visa so he can come and stay with you. You can keep extending his visit visa every 6 months. At some point immigration might decide that he has had enough visit visas and refuse to extend it anymore but that would be a future problem. Maybe you should talk to an immigration lawyer about your options.
