Hi,

I received the PR Vias along with CORP forms. There is a small mistake in the CORP forms.

It was mentioned that the Place of birth for my Son as 'HYERABAD' instead of 'HYDERABAD' (letter 'D' is missing after the letter 'Y'). Rest all the details are mentioned correctly.

It was mentioned in the COPR forms that we should inform them immediately if there is any mistake in either Passport No/Passport Validity/First Name/Last name.

Please let me know if I need to inform them if there is any spelling mistake in the place of birth for my son as mentioned above.

Appreciate your help.

Dear,

Actually it is not a major problem because only country of birth is printed on PR card but if you have time i would advice you to change it from your local visa office.

Regards,

toenjoy

Omssion of one letter in the place of birth will not cause any problem for landing. If you send back the COPR for correction it will of course be delalyed. What I suggest, you can inform about the "spelling mistake" in COPR to the IO when you land in Canada. He will be able to do some corrections in their system, if it is absolutely necessary. However I am sure he can at least make his comments in their system about the missing letter which will be considered by CIC accordingly.

@ medhansh
The responses of toenjoy & wilson makes perfect sense. --Avoid the 'delay' & go ahead with your 'landing'.

Qorax

My son has First Name, Middle Name and Last Name on his passport and birth certificate.

The COPR has only First Name and Last Name. Should I request new COPR or they can correct it during landing. As it is their mistake.

Thanks

Middle name is not critical and in the west, it is usually used as an initial.

Won't make any difference to COPR.

Thanks for your input buddy.

The reason I am worried is that they have Middle name for my younger son but not for the older one.

Both have FN, MN, LN on their PP and BC, I don't know how they ignored it on COPR

Thanks
