Speculations are Killing me. Help!!!

Hello,

I am very confused right now and need the experts help here.

I sent my documents to New Delhi CHC on Mayb 21st, 2009. I then received a letter in mid June asking me to send a new DD payable at New Delhi. The earlier DD that I sent was payable at Canada. So, then I got a DD for INR 19,900 and sent it to CHC on 22nd June. The courier service told me that they delivered the draft on 23rd June 2009. I was expecting the draft to be encashed within a week or so. But, today it has been like 2 weeks and my bank informed me that the draft has not yet been encashed.

I have applied under 0213 and I understand that lot of people are applying under 0213. Now, I have few queries here:
1.) The INR 19,900 is the RPRF. Right? When is it encashed? Before starting the processing or at the end of processing? If before then it means that they have not started processing my application yet. The e-cas shows me "Received by CIC office".

2.) If they have not yet started processing I am wondering when they will? It has been 2 weeks since I sent the draft. I got the AOR quickly but after sending the DD there has been no news yet. Even the draft has not been encashed. What should I infer out of this? Is my draft still lying with them and they will deposit once my file cycles up to the top? I really wish they had a call center in India to respond these petty issues so that the applications had a more transparent picture of their applications.

3.) Will they respond my queries regarding this issue if I filled the case specific enquiry form? They say they will respond in 28 days. WOW. That's too soon .

I know I might be a little over worried but this is starting to freak me out. The speculations in the mind are making things hard and me so restless.

I would really appreciate if the seniors and other members can help me understand and de-intensify my restlessness.

dont be restless...

they have at least acknowledged the receipt of your application. For me, they encashed my draft early last week, but, the eCAS still shows CIO Eliibility Review Complete... and there's been no AOR or Receipt for payment made.

be cool... everything will be fine...

I think e-cas should not be taken very strictly. If it shows then good. If it doesn't then it doesn't mean that the CHC is not doing anything. Probably e-cas is not updated as it shud be.

Btw, after how much time your DD was cleared?

am sure, what they do is open a package and put a BF date on the file and encach the DD.

Whenever you sent the new DD, they must have simply slipped the new DD in your file and it will be put in clearing only when the file is opened for review on the BF date...

don't worry about the DD. If you mentioned the file number correctly on your DD, you'll be fine

I see. I didn't mentioned the file number of my DD but yes I sent a letter along with it mentioning my file number. I think they will put it along with the DD in the file.
