Hello ALL

I completed my PG Diploma and am planning to apply for my PGWP. My last exam was on April 24th and i got my results on May 1st. My study permit ends on August 1st 2016.

1. When is the right time to apply for PGWP?

2. Whats are the process in applying online?

3. What are the required Documents?


I am married and my husband is back in India. I need details about SOWP also.

1. When can i apply SOWP for my husband?

2. What are the process in applying?

3. What are the required documents?

My course was for 1 year ( 8 months + 4 months Optional CO-OP). I did not choose CO-OP as i got a full time job.

Will i get PGWP for 1 year?

What is the process of extending my PGWP after a Year?

Hi Sunitha,

1. You can apply once you get your transcript and graduation or work permit letter from college.Important thing, You must have to apply for your PGWP before 30 days of expiry of your study permit.

2. You can create account online CIC account and upload scanned document and pay fees online using your credit card.

3. Scanned copies of Passport, Photo, Transcript and College graduation or Work Permit letter

If your course is for one year, you will just get one year work permit.
