SOWP Extension through Flagpole

Hi All,

Need to clarify before I proceed,

My Spouse Open Work-permit expires in November-2019, I'm on dependent visa my wife completed her masters and got her PGWP by flagpole and has NOC Level-B job and has 3 pay stubs, can I go and flagpole at border?
I'm also working in NOC-A level job, if I apply online the processing time is 3 months and my employer may not allow me to work if my work-permit expires.

please suggest if anyone has gone through this process.
