Her: Principle Temporary Visa Holder (2 year Francophone Mobility Programme).
Me: Spouse to the above (Common Law), have received a 2 year OWP, expiry date the same as the above. Granted an OWP as her spouse.

Question: Worst case scenario, if the two of us broke up before the expiry date of our visas. Would I (as the Spouse), have to cease working/leave Canada?

Please bear in mind, I have not been sponsored. I am an accompanying spouse of a temporary skilled worker on a temporary work permit.

CIC aren't answering the phones, and I can't seem to find any answers anywhere! So hopefully someone has some advise?

Many thanks.

You can stay and continue working until the expiry date on your work permit.

Thanks very much Scylla. I was hoping that would be the case.

We are still very much together and happy :)
But was wondering what would happen if she gave me the boot!
