My wife is here in Canada on a TRV and we have an outland sponsorship application in progress. Her visitor status expires in April 2027. We'll be applying for her SOWP in a few weeks and a visitor record in March 2027 if the SOWP application is still pending.
Any risks with this approach? Will a VR refusal mean that the SOWP will also be denied? Our main requirement is that she's able to maintain legal status until the PR application is finalized hopefully before the end of 2027.
