Hi

Does a candidate need to explain the source of money in his/her bank account? In my case, the applicant is showing 11000 CAD in an Indian bank account for more than 4 months. However, there is apparently no document to indicate the source of this money (it was basically a gift from the applicant's father). Is it reasonable to say that the money came from gift received from relatives in marriage (applicant got married a year back)? Or will it be wiser not to write anything regarding the source of money in the LOE?
Please help! (Applicant is B.Tech civil engg. from India, applying for graduate diploma in safety and risk engg.)
