hi ,

I would not suggest you to copy paste the SOP from internet, as that ways your application has a good chances of getting rejected under plagiarism,,,be very carefulll

thanks

Hi,
if you write "sop" in the search area you will find many posts (including links etc)
and
if you google it you will find many things also especially if you write state of purpose

1. SOP is useless, no one will read it. It's not required as per the visa checklist (India).

Hi,

I think always is better to write something than just to send the required documents.

Please experts correct me if i am not mistaken.

but why overwhelm the VO with extra dox.? they hav already mentioned in the chklist watevr they want...
It is like when you send your curriculum vitae (CV) to an employer.
When you send your CV it is always better to attach a Cover Letter than to send your CV only.
Better impression!

1. Better impression? Did you notice something like this on your SPP visa checklist,

I quote checklist (India)

"***DO NOT PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS UNLESS REQUESTED TO DO SO BY A VISA
OFFICER, OR YOUR FILE WILL NOT BE GIVEN PRIORITY PROCESSING UNDER SPP."

Enfield is right on!

If a document is not on a checklist, then you guys are only confusing the visa officer.

And visa officers dont have the time to soak in your impression. Imagine processing 100s of applications, with 100 extra SOP----and your stated purpose for that SOP is....better impression. LOL!!

If a document is not on a checklist, dont include it. Rest is up to you.

Please check the link of CANADA VISA
http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/united_kingdom-royaume_uni/visas/forms_study-formulaires_etude.aspx?view=d

It clearly says to send Study Plan (copy from site):

Study plan: Please submit a one page study plan which answers the following questions and includes any other information relevant to the processing of your application:

Why do you wish to study in Canada in the program for which you have been accepted?
What is your overall educational goal?
Why are you not pursuing a similar program in your country of residence/citizenship?
What research have you done into studies in your country of residence/citizenship?
How will this program enhance your employment opportunities in your country of residence/citizenship?
What ties do you have to your country of residence/citizenship?
If it has been more than 2 years since you have left full-time education, please provide your C.V. (resumé).
In the case of a minor applicant, what are your reasons for studying in Canada? What is your parents’/guardians’ immigration status in their current country of residence?
Provide details of your education history – dates when the course started and ended, the name and address of the school, the course taken, qualification/degree/certificate awarded for the course

THANK YOU!

1. I am sorry, I thought you are from India. SOP is not required for Indian applicants.
