SOP vs COVER letter???

I want to know whats the difference between SOP and Cover letter?

I know about SOP but, what exactly is COVER letter?

depends on what cover letter ur talking about but my understanding is that cover letter lists all the documents/forms that u have attached with ur application with any explanations needed for those documents . example if u have 3 bank statements from 3 different banks then u make a table in ur cover letter with names of banks and amounts in each and total and its conversion in CAD. cover letter will help VO understand ur documents. cover letter or SOP is not required but are highly recommended as they will help ur application
