Hello everyone,

I have been admitted to University of Waterloo, graduate program in Chemical Engineering and currently in the process of applying for a study permit. My consultant has asked me to include an SOP. I would like to gather info on what points "should" be there to satisfy the visa officer viewing my case that:
I have enough funds
I will return to my country after completion of studies
I am deserving of the visa

TIA

I read on the forum that most people have paid a whole year's fee or one semester's fee in advance. Is that necessary for applying for visa?

It is required for some institutes just to get acceptance letter otherwise it is highly recommended to really strengthen your visa case :)
