I would like to ask some quick questions about my soft landing plan as I really do not want to screw things up.

My background: I am a new PR with CoPR issued this April 2022 with validity until Feb 2023. I am going to do landing process at the end of this October, in Vancouver, stay for 4-5 days and come back home country to work. I am not going to provide address in Canada and my plan is to apply for PRTD somewhere in March/April 2023.

My quick questions:

1. Is it OK not to provide address in Canada when landing? If asked by the border officer, I would be honest to tell him my short stay plan, with reasons of employment where I need more time to complete a current project and be more financially prepared.

2. Will my soft landing plan work?

3. I have checked the PRTD document checklist (IMM 5644), there is one requirement "Copies of supporting documents that show you meet the residency obligation". For my case, I really wonder whether I have to provide those "supporting documents", if yes, then what to provide?

4. Does someone heard of any PRTD application rejected for reasons other than residence obligation violation?

Many thanks in advance for any kind help

1. No issue
2. yes
3. as a recent PR you don’t need proof of meeting RO. When do you plan on moving to Canada permanently? PRTD have expiry dates and can be single entry.
4. Yes but those are PRTD based on H&C.

My plan of permanent move is around July to September 2023, considering typical PRTD application processing time being 3 months and typical validity of 6 months
