Hello,
I have a doubt, I have got my passport ready and was planning to a soft landing in April 2020. But due to COVID now everything has fallen apart. My medical has also expired in July 2020. I have reached out to CIC and they said they will communicate back soon once situation is better.
I understand I will have to redo my medical as well as send my passport again once I hear back from CIC.
I plan to get married soon to my gf. She has not applied for any IELTS , nor has done any formality.
My previous plan was to land and then apply for her spousal sponsorship, but with COVID seems like we are going to stuck without travel for another 6 months.
She is 29 years old and I am also 29 , in case that information is helpful.
Now my questions are
1) If we plan to get married before doing my soft landing, what is the process to inform CIC ? Do I have to resubmit myself in the pool with fresh application ?
2) How does it effects my landing can I also get rejected ?
3) If we inform CIC and once I submit her documents and medical after our marriage, will both of us get PR approval ? How much will be the delay/processing time for that?
Given both the options to apply which one is better ?
1) Get married after landing to canada and via spousal sponsorship. But that take around 1-2 years as of what I learnt.
2) Get married before landing and Inform CIC and go with the new formalities.
We are worried about processing time for which both of us have to live separate after marriage. We both are working individuals and none of us wants to live sepreatly after marriage for long duration.
Thanks in Advance.
