Hi,

6242 Cooks NOC is no longer available as per HRSDC, and it has been merged with 6322 NOC, which comes under skill level C. That would mean, anyone applying under this NOC is not eligible for FSW application.

Regards,
Shiv

hi bro i am very confused i have applied 15 dec 2012 with noc 6242 what you recon i am eligible thanks i am waiting for response

Hi,

CIC goes with the NOC's listed at the time when the application was recieved, and not with the current list of NOC. NOC is the responsibility of HRSDC (Human Resource Skills Development of Canada), and not by CIC.

For applying PR in FSW category, the job should be under either Skills 0, A, or B, irrespective of FSW1 or FSW2.

Skill Levels are defined by NOC (explained below)
Skill 0 - NOC starting with 0
Skill A - NOC starting other than 0 but has 1 as second digit (eg 4156, 6178, etc)
Skill B - NOC starting other than 0 but has 2 as second digit (eg 4256, 6278 etc)

I hope this helps.

Regards,
Shiv
