Absolutley ANY guidance would be greatly appreciated!
I am US citizen, I have an employer who sponsored me in Montreal. The employer told me the job offer was approved. Does this mean the certificate of selection was approved? Employer also had me complete, pay fees and submit the permenant residency application. I have received receipt notice.
My problem is this, I cannot find out any information on my application status. the receipt numbers I have are not the numbers they request online. I am trying to confirm infact that my selection certificate has been approved and my permenant residency being processed. The latest letter I have received stats they have received and will notify me when a decision is made, however I have no clue if this is regarding the selection of certificate or permanent residency. I am so fustrated just trying to find out the status of my paperwork and what to expect next. The selection certificate application was sent in Janurary and permanent residency application in May. Thank you so much

did i do something wrong in my posting? No one to reply with any assistance?

1. If the employer got your CSQ you should have received a copy of it.
2. Until your Federal application reaches Buffalo, you will not be able to trace it. I assume you have completed the Federal Application with your Quebec certificate from MICC and forwarded it to Buffalo?
3. From the Quebec Immigration Site:

"Next steps for the worker abroad

* If your offer of employment is approved, a copy of the validation letter will be sent to the Immigration-Québec office overseas serving the foreign worker’s territory. This office will send the foreign worker the information he or she needs to apply for a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ – Québec Selection Certificate). The foreign worker will be assessed based on selection criteria directly related to his or her person and qualifications.
* If the foreign worker receives a CSQ, he or she must then submit an application for permanent residence to the Canadian Embassy serving his or her country. Fees are charged by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) at this step.
* The foreign worker will be required to undergo a medical examination in order to obtain permanent residence. If required, this medical examination will be conducted by a physician designated by CIC and a fee will be charged to the foreign worker.

Thank you so much for your information. I did submit the permanent residency application and fees. However it is being processed here in Montreal not Buffalo. Does the same apply?

It means it hasn't reached the Federal stage, it is still being processed by Quebec. Until it reaches Buffalo, you won't be able to trace it.
