Hello,
I am applying for EE. I am currently on a International Experience Canada (IEC) Open Work permit.
I have been working 1 year, full time. TEER 2, Major group 22.
I have a job offer with my current employee, no LMIA.

But for some reason, my job offer is not valid and I am missing 50 points!

Your employer doesn’t need an LMIA to support your job offer if:
  1. you have been working full-time for the employer on your work permit for at least 1 year (or an equal amount of part-time work)
  2. you have a valid job offer, and
  3. you have a valid work permit that is exempt from an LMIA under:
    • an international agreement (as per my Open Work Permit granted through the IEC program, right?)
A valid job offer has to be:
  • made by up to two employers
  • for continuous, paid, full-time work (at least 30 hours a week)
  • for at least one year
  • in a skilled trade occupation (a job under one of these NOC 2021 TEER 2 and 3 categories.)
It also must be made:
you have a valid work permit for one of the listed skilled trade occupation and it’s exempt from needing an LMIA, and you:
  • are currently working for an employer specified on the work permit
  • have one year of full-time work experience (or an equal amount of part-time work) for the employer(s) on your work permit who is making the offer and
  • have a valid job offer from that employer for at least one year after we issue your permanent resident visa

I have all that. What am I missing?

Thanks a lot.

Nothing unfortunately. You don't qualify for the 50 points since you are on an open work permit with no employer named. Your employer needs to get an approved LMIA if you want the 50 points.
