My case is very specific and I can't find this on any general webpage.

In June 2016 I moved from Europe to Alberta on a Working Holiday open work permit. I am an IT engineer and my former employer in Europe hired me as a contractor to work for them remotely from Canada.
I did not register a trade name and do business under my own personal name.

During the year, I also found a Canadian employer for which I work fulltime now. I still work part-time for my former employer in Europe remotely. However, my open work permit expired and I applied for the Young Professionals closed work permit. I have that permit now and my Canadian employer's company name is on the work permit. Does this mean I am not allowed to do remote contract work for my European "client" anymore?

My former European employer is my only client. I am not doing any business whatsoever with any Canadian business or entity. I am just doing some part-time work for my European "client" from home from my own personal computer. In other words, regarding this particular scenario, I am not active on the Canadian labour market. To me this sounds like this does not require any work permit at all, as it does not affect the Canadian labour market for which I would need an LMIA for example or a work permit.

Does anyone know if I'm legally entitled to do what I do or should I immediately stop doing part-time out of country work?
