Hi All,

I am working as software developer over a 4 years.
While checking NOC list I found that there is only IT Managers needed.
Does that mean that I can't apply as Skilled Worker?
And if not, so what requirements do I have to meet in order to be accepted.

With regards,
Inco

Help yourself to all the required and more info:

AFAIK, you can still apply under FSW but your application would not be processed under fast-track since your job profile does not fall under the list of 38 NOCs.

Is that true?

Unfortunately NO, AFAIK!!!
You NOC must be on the Ministerial List.

But read this thread, maybe you will get some ideas:

also read the link on New2Canada's Post.

Good Luck.

So these all means that I can't apply for FSW program now.
And even if in these coming months I will become team lead I need to wait at least one year.
And if I will ask my manager to give me a reference letter mentioning that I am handling the team lead responsibilities, does that will be enough to apply for FSW.
What else I can do to be allowed to apply for FSW now ?

You mean that it must be written exactly IS Manager ?

my views only:

1) firstly, team lead looks like a better designation than s/w developer in comparison to NOC 0213.
2) secondly, time and again, members have mentioned that CIC looks at the job duties and not designation.
3) thirdly, I think, though the books say that job duties are looked at primarily, I feel IO would use some of his common sense on top of whatz written. Can some one in IT industry with s/w developer designation have the management duties at entry level? might not be possible. can some one with 4 or 5 years of experience with team lead designation be performing the manager duties in last 1 year - probably possible!

cheers boltz.

Dear boltz,

Thanks for your comments.
I have 4 years experience in software development.
And now I am handling the responsibilities of team lead and project manager.
But the only evidence of that can be reference letter from my direct manager.
I am concerned will that be enough to apply or not.
And once I have applied how much time it will take to know does my application processed or it was rejected.
