"Software & Comp sys evaluators" PR Application

Hi All

I am planning to apply PR as I meeting the eligibility criteria. I am holding an ICT WP with occupation as "Software & Comp sys evaluators".

First of all I would like to confirm with experience folks here with following Questions.

1. The NOC code for above mentioned occupation is 2283 , Correct?
2. Which NOC level it fall into , A or B ? . According to me its B , am I correct?
3. What CLB level is required for above occupation and NOC Code ?
4. What scores will be needed , as I have booked a CELPIP test soon.

Depends on the duties. But title sounds like 2283, yes. But post your duties and we can confirm.

2. Which NOC level it fall into , A or B ? . According to me its B , am I correct?

NOC 2283 would be skill level B, correct.

3. What CLB level is required for above occupation and NOC Code ?

CLB 5. More information here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/language-testing.asp Use the tables to determine what language test results you need.

4. What scores will be needed , as I have booked a CELPIP test soon.

See comment above. For CELPIP you'll need a 3L in every category.

NOC 2173 ( http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/noc/english/noc/2011/quicksearch.aspx?val65=2173 )
also matches the title of your position. So to be sure check the duties and match with the website.
As NOC 2173 ( skill level A ) requires different language test results than NOC 2283 ( skill level B ).

* Understanding and Analyzing Business requirements of Application to be Tested.
* Creating Test Strategy and Test Plan Documents.
* Using manual and automated testing tools to Test diverse Systems and Applications.
* Liaise with developers, business analysts, and user representatives in application design and document reviews.
* Troubleshooting software issues and providing support services.
* Liaising with supervisors, team leaders, operatives and third parties to gather information and resolve issues.
* Handling escalation calls and determines the impact and severity of the issues.
* Primary source of contact to report issues for the end users both internal and External
* Emulate technical scenarios to find solutions and resolve issues.

However, below are my jobs and responsibilities and it matches to NOC 2281. Do you also agree it matches to 2281?

Installation & configuration of Solaris & HP UX operating systems environment
 Application support configuration and maintenance.
 Installation,integration and Administration of Solaris 10 Zones and containers
 Capacity planning design, building and implement the System network for data
centre.
 Unix server maintenance and support to developer's team for their issues with
application, tuning, troubleshooting, software running on Servers.
 Install and configure new hardware, system upgrades; evaluate and install patches
 To Diagnose server and operational problems and to develop effective solutions
 Monitoring and tuning performance of servers and applications for making optimal
use of the system resources
 Participate in periodic reviews with client's senior management.

Hi Omshri,

I need your help .. I think you got the PR already.

My workpermit has 'Software & Comp sys evaluators' occupation. However, my actual role/duties mentioned in my Employer letter matches with NOC 2173 job duties. Hence, I have mentioned NOC 2173 in the application.And also I got AOR recently.

I think duties of ‘Software & Comp sys evaluators' occupation are different and has different NOC code.
Is there any possibility of rejecting my application?

Please , please , I would appreciate your guidance on this. Do you want me to withdraw my application? .
