Hi everybody,

We received our medical request on 2nd August and completed our medicals on 8th August. Now waiting for 3rd line "Medical results received".

Dear Nashe & Mandie

your help is required in this, i reiceved an email on 14th March 2012 that I would asked for an interview with in next 6 months and today i have recieved an email in which they have communicated the interview date & timing. The interview is scheduled in Abu Dhabi Canadain Embassy and they have asked me to bring my spouse also with many documents in original condition. They have also asked me to reply with confirmation of my presence for the interview.

I have observed that the subject say my name but with a different File number which doest not belong to me and also the same file number is written in the email body.

I require your guidence in two things ... 1. I should write to them that the file number they have mentioned is wrong but it states my name ? .... 2. I reside in pakistan so should I go for an interview to Abu Dhabi if after this i am again scheduled to Abu Dhabi with q correct file number if asked so or should i tell them that i want to be interviewed in pakistan ?

your urgent response would appriciated.

Hello Amir

You will always have a different file number once your application reaches the Visa Office. When you file your application at the CIC in Nova Scotia your file number will usually start with an 'E', once your file reaches the VO you will be assigned a 'local' file number (e.g. my new file number at the London VO starts with a 'B').

Dear Amir,

As Mandie has already said, you are lucky that ur case is progressing.... So congrats for that.

I would contact them replying their email, addressing both of these concerns..

1- File #. is changed once it reaches the VO, but u dont have anything to lose in counter checking with VO.
2- Its strange that thay called u Abudhabi for Interview, coz they can easily conduct it in ISB.

Anyways its a good sign, be prepared, and request VO to re-schedule interview in ISB.

my office has been shifted n i informed to LVO abt my official address. they replied the following. but at the end of the email i saw that the email is from immigration n medical dept......
