So here we go,
I applied for a ETA to visit canada as i had a leave order 7 weeks ago which i followed, and I'm returning back for 3 weeks for a vacation with my wife who lives in canada (long story), S i get a reply back saying that i once was or still am a PR which i thought was taken from me after i lost my appeal for not meeting the requirements for my PR and that I can do 2 things, I can apply for a pr returning to canada or renounce my pr status!!! why i would i want to renounce it? i thought they stripped me of it as i was asked to leave.

I am very confused

Thanks

Jon

if you received the order to leave 7 weeks ago, then perhaps there hasn't been enough time for the process of revoking your PR to finish...

I see, I know I'm going to have 21 questions when i get to the boarder I've already expected that but i have e-mailed the case handler from cbsa that handled my leave order to advise them that i am coming back and that i will be returning back to the uk while I am waiting for a work visa for canada to come through which has been a headache never the less i just want to see my wife for her birthday and see my place fora few weeks as i setup home in vancouver and have had to leave my wife on her own in a country she knows nobody.
:(

It seems that CBSA and IRCC haven't updated the system with your loss of status and departure.

How do you qualify for a work permit?

Until you get the above issue sorted out, you should wait to apply for a work permit or you will probably get the same response about already being a PR.
