I am master student and want to send my son to a childcare.
After I arrived in Canada few months later, I found out it is so hard to get into a good childcare center. There are always very long waiting list, probably takes 1-3 years to get in.
There are some small home-based daycares which have open spots. But I dont know if it is good enough at program, teaching, food, and so on. It seems most ppl are trying to get their children into the bigger childcare center.
Also, my son is about the kindergarden age. Most child center or home-based daycares do not provide transportation for the kids. This is another problem. Either myself or my wife can take half day everyday to do the transporation between the childcare and the kindergarden.
I am just wondering if it is ok to not let my son attend the kindergarden.
Just want to discuss, guys.
Thanks
