Smoking in public places

Hello gents,

I've just got my ITA for PR under FSW program and now I am stuck in "Criminal record section". I've been in Canada for 3 years and once smoked close to the beach. Guard saw me and gave me $360 ticket, saying that "it won't go anywhere since I am not a police".

I understand how stupid was that, but now I literally don't know what to do with "Has XYZ been convicted of a crime or offence in Canada for which a pardon has not been granted under the Criminal Records Act of Canada?"

Should the answer be "yes" with the description of offence or "no" as smoking in public places doesn't count as anything criminal?

Tickets like those are civil offences, not criminal offences.
That’s my understanding as well. Does this imply that I should answer “no” if I’ve never committed any criminal offence in Canada or elsewhere, even if I had this civil offence ticket?
