Small font Size on Application Forms

The standard font size on the PDF forms seems to be about an 8. Thats extremely small for most eyes. I have to use 3X reading glasses to read what is typed. When I am answering the questions on the computer screen the size of the font is fine, but its about 135% magnification.

So the question is: Does everyone use that preset font size when filling out all the forms? Do they print it out at that size? Do CIC actually read it? How do they do so without getting eyestrain?

We used the default font with no problems and my eyesight is far from perfect.

Good point Betina. I have no problems. I know my c/l wife and I are legit and qualify under the law. I just want to make sure CIS has no problems and I certainly don't want to give whoever reads these forms eyestrain and make them grumpy. I suspect they feed the forms into a 'reader' of some kind so they can view them onscreen at whatever magnification they like. But perhaps that is too Star Trekky for our gov.

If you fill out the forms online, and validate them, it will generate Barcodes which contain the information on the application. I would not worry about this. The VO will scan the Barcodes and the information will go directly onto the Computer. There should be not issues at all.

You worry too much. The font size is fine; don’t mess with it.
