Small Family Looking for a safe neighborhood to settle down

Ottawa is good choice, a lot of jobs in IT for Government and pretty cheap rent if compared to Toronto prices.

@mahi2020 @Copingwithlife @canuck78 @KRP Hello everyone.. First of all, thank you so much for your suggestions. I checked Montreal, Waterloo, Kitchener, Ottawa and in and around GTA. I was traveling for the last few days so I couldn't respond back.

Finally, after seeing all the places and looking at the market, I am going to Waterloo. Small town but seems to have lots of potential especially for the Computer science field. The only issue I found is the lack of familiar community but then I had to compromise on something and have seen some familiar faces in the town.

We are very likely moving into a recession so get a job before moving, committing to a lease and leaving a job. Hiring will likely be frozen for a while just from covid but with potential losses there may not be a ton of hiring.
